He’s only 34! I really can’t handle it when football managers are younger than me, although I delight when players are still older than me.

For £10 a year I’m sure they could sell data updates for CM 01/02

When getting a mortgage in Italy, the guy was confused that me and my wife *did* have the same last name. Assumed we must be siblings at first. It’s not such a done thing here, apparently.

The internet is never wrong

I’d imagine, for historical reasons, that it probably cuts through Berlin, but presumably for every degree east you move it from the prime meridian, you lose a section of Alaska…

Yeah, I can imagine seeing what you’re doing takes away a lot of the challenge. How long before you’re available for heists?

I’ve always wanted to learn how to do this, particularly since we bought a house that had a door locked shut and no keys for it. Unfortunately before I had the chance (i.e. after three years) our builders knocked it out and installed a new one.

How kind of you to notice!

I always love these! Are you getting back into it?

I’m not capitalising it, I’M JUST SHOUTING IT!

These Wheel of Fortune clues get trickier every time!

Is it “need a short hero with a one ring to melt it and rid us of bad”?

Hope you’re feeling better soon, and Plume looks after you in the meantime. At least he should stay on top of the washing…

Happy birthday! 🎈

Judge them at the next election. They’re playing the long game. 4D-chess. Wheels within wheels. Quantum-level thinking.

Or maybe they’re just really bad at this.
November 18, 2025 at 10:23 PM
Yeah, that was in the remaining 1%.

Ouch! Best of luck with the x-ray. We avoid that danger by not having a piano. One day we’ll avoid it by not letting bugs in the house instead, but that day is not today.

When we moved into our house, my wife was concerned about our cat Betty being outside at night, worried that an owl might take her. I told her Betty would f**k up an owl. She once dragged a half-dead pigeon through the cat flap.

But those times when they do get a walk are just the absolute best!

I like the fact that, on evenings where my team isn’t playing, I can still get a game in between two great teams, which you rarely got in the previous setup. It might not ultimately mean anything, but it’s still good to watch.

Alternatively, scale up all the ingredients in the recipe so you’re using a full tub and then invite enough friends over so that it will all get eaten! 😁
November 4, 2025 at 5:09 PM
True, but if you do find a good source of recipes that do this on a regular basis, please let me know!

Personally I kind of enjoy the challenge of finding a recipe that will use up the greatest number of leftover ingredients from the last recipe.
November 4, 2025 at 5:07 PM
Maybe you could find another recipe that uses the rest of the tub for another meal, perhaps?

This is what everyone wants… right?
October 25, 2025 at 8:12 PM
Yeah, I can understand that could cause confusion!
October 23, 2025 at 1:49 PM
Yeah, I’m just reading the synopsis of it now. Sounds like it’s in the vein of Tom Clancy or Lee Childs. I can see how that wouldn’t be a natural choice for a book club.

Was it meant to be the book by Mitchell Lüthi? Or Pilgrim’s Progress? Or Scott Pilgrim vs The World?
