I avoid conspiratorial thinking, but if this were a movie, I'd envision the shooter being a Mossad agent. This is very much a Reichstag moment.

You either wish harm on others and mock their misfortune or you find it gross. Many of the people clutching their pearls today are hypocrits.

I grew up watching The Dukes of Hazzard, freedom loving outlaws. Those same characters would be anti democracy bootlickers in 2025.

What was going on during the time when the saying "there's more than one way to skin a cat" was first used?

I’d love to see a billionaire or two fund a new political party that’d include AOC, Sanders, Crockett and Frost.

Just as a zebra will always have stripes and will never become the hunter, the Democratic Party will always remain useless and passive.

I've immersed myself deeper into creative outlets to counter the endless negativity. An additional project is creating mini zines which I intend to follow with pamphlets and full size zines, inspired by the RE/Search zines I read in the '90s.

I intend to focus on local art and creativity.

Peeked out of my hole momentarily and immediately regretted it. See you next week.

After disabling my Instagram account for a bit, I wasn’t prepared for the onslaught of junk content after logging back in. It’s incredibly jarring. I’m not suited for a world of 10 second attention spans.

Just overhear a boomer say “Gulf of America” as if it was normal and it has always been that way.

People in Fl are complaining about the currently wonderful weather. Complaint worthy weather is 190 degrees with 350% humidity.

People who spent 4 years crying like toddlers are calling for others to support the incoming president ‘despite political differences”.

This applies to last 4 U.S. presidents. Clowns.

Briefly dipped into current events.
I love that a (soon to be?) banned Chinese app has led many Americans to use another Chinese app which is humanizing the Chinese and providing insight into a place that isn't a dystopian nightmare.

I use social media sparingly these days, just dipped in and things seem to have gotten whackier. Lots about Meta, etc. Everything is politics, people I’ve followed for 10+ years suddenly making declarations. Everyone’s lost it.

I resolve to do/make/eat less of some things and more of other things. Failure-success ration tbd.

For the last week and especially the last few days, people have been saying 'Merry Christmas!' and I've replied "you too" but I haven't meant it once.

The 'belated' comes before the well wishes. Before. B4.

'Delayed Happy Birthday' = yes
'Happy Delayed Birthday' = no

"Forgive me for the delayed birthday wishes. I hope you had a great birthday."
