(Erg veel zelfpromotie vandaag, sorry not sorry).

Happy to share my first solo-authored paper - now published in the Journal of Media Psychology.

In this experiment, I investigated how thematic vs episodic news frames influence learning and explored the role of individual framing preferences in these effects.

BBC just released damning research on AI assistants' news accuracy.

Results: 51% of AI responses had significant issues. 19% introduced errors when citing BBC. 13% misquoted or made up BBC content entirely. 🤐🤐

German digital campaigning is so weird. There's a fraction over three weeks to the election, and the biggest parties are doing *nothing* with digital ads. E.g. SPD and CDU are spending around 1/20th of what Labour and the Tories were spending in the UK with three weeks to go last summer.

Ok after a couple more tries it seems that the server was indeed just busy when I asked about Chinese history. Still pretty powerful to see how responses on e.g. Taiwan are being typed out before your eyes and then magically vanish because of 'scope'

At least now I know that Mao was a pretty swell guy

Who could have guessed that DeepSeek is not the best place for learning about Taiwan's history and political leaders... Surprising though that even Chinese history brought up a filter unless specifically prompted to give me something uncontroversial.

1) The boost I highlighted late last week build down to Alice Weidel "suddenly" gaining a lot of impressions, after being boosted by Musk's engagement.
Here's what this does to the cumulative sum of impressions. Zoom in on last week 📈

With 17 days to go until the US takeover by the new Trump (or Musk?) administration, I thought it might be worthwhile to share a number of recent papers published by our team that counter arguments that have been leveled against misinformation research. 1/n
