It's even worse when the invariant turns out to be equivalent to just some pile of linear algebra applied to some equivariant or twisted version of a Seifert form

We used a fork of AC at Nebraska and I LOVED it. OpenStax is a good supplement for those students who need a bit more structure in the text (or who need extra practice problems).
