Older ppl who experienced more discrimination over their lifetime have a higher risk of experiencing #pain sensitivity. The likelihood of experiencing more discrimination may be higher for those in U.S. regions w/ higher prevalence of #racism. #chronicpain

Another systematic review (2007) examined 10 studies w/ 17,000+ kids & teens w/ upper body pain found the highest predictors are:

- Static posture
- Depression
- Stress
- Psychosomatic symptoms
- Gender
- Age

Researchers found girls had higher reports of #pain than boys, esp. those w/ depression.

A 2018 systematic review of 72,600+ kids & teens with #backpain from 69 trials found “no convincing evidence that aspects of schoolbag use increase the risk of back pain in children and adolescents.”

This subject is so broad that I only highlighted what I think matters more to the public. The caveat about these 3 treatments is that the certainty level ranges from low to moderate. None that I could find so far is ranked "high."

In most systematic reviews, long-term results means 2-3 yrs or more.
