Fun fact: This was the first fighting game that I played competitively, I ended up getting 3rd in NZ Nationals in 2006

Layoffs occurring so soon after launch definitely makes it feel pre-meditated from upper management rather than as a response to metrics. What an absolute tragic treatment of such high-end talent that worked on such a fun game.

I hate League of Legends.

Yeah basically! From what I know it pretty much uses the depth camera to make point clouds which you can then add shaders and effects to.

We realized that comparison was so silly and it was important to learn the how and why for what does not come to us easily. It is reductive to look at your art and think "if only it was completely different to what I like doing" Especially when someone else will still love it anyway.

I was very shocked at the question. A person who I saw as significantly more trained than me and could do more than what I could was asking for my advice on how I made a cute doodle? That made no sense to me.
