Recent form, a sunny day, resolute performance and the lure of denying Leeds the title helped. For me, the decision to appoint WR, and then crucially not sack him after B City, is the No. 1 reason we are down so yes, they are to blame but I trust they made these errors in good faith. We go again.

Thank you for your Argyle content. My main push back is Azaz. I’ve heard many people say we should have signed Azaz, but no evidence that either Aston Villa were for it, Boro wouldn’t have renegotiated or Azaz simply wanted to play for a bigger team. Why would he sign for us?

I wonder what the financial implication of relegation would be on Evergreen Membership. £27 a month for me and my son but bought mainly for priority access to tickets.

My concern for him is not tonight but how we get promoted as one of the ‘big boys’ against a team that sits deep. I’m not convinced of him now, or in that scenario. Lovely beard though.

That is super spot on. Some clubs seem to sack managers unfairly when they get promoted because the challenge is different. This is likewise. Not saying sack him of course, but he’s gonna need more than 27% possession in L1.

100%, although Rooney didn’t seem to fancy Al Hajj and he was more possession based. Feel sorry for Baidoo. There’s a human being there who has gone from scoring against Roma to a close season, Argyle and a manager who values twatting the ball into the channels.

It’s amazing in my lifetime that we have had so many amazing goalkeepers. Jim Furnell, Geoff Crudgington, Steve Cherry, Romain Larrieu, Alan Nicholls, Michael Cooper.

Sadly it is nearly 30 years since Alan died. Time, and the ability of the mind to dream, always has me thinking that he’s the most talented GK I’ve ever seen. Search for a Guardian (Stuart James) fantastic, emotional and upsetting tribute to potentially the GK no one ever had.

Needed to follow up Pompey.Ultimately we deserve to be where we are. We are the poorest team in the league and the board have had a series of poor decisions since December 2023. What a waste of an opportunity. Hoping unsuccessful hoofball doesn’t alienate the fan base ahead of next year.

A fair pod and you shouldn’t be apologising for the mood. You can only discuss what is in front of you. No one answer, but it is clear that the ‘board’ and the people they trust have made a series of terrible calls since Dec 23. Moneyball it is not.

Great thread. Saw him away at Southend on a Friday night in a one nil win. We’d be under the cosh, clear our lines and then Trigger would hold the ball up and buy a free kick on the halfway line. Monster and a true legend.

They have to be the worst run club in the world given their resource. Stadium leaks, owners have drained income to pay for their own loans, no on field strategy, poor transfers, constant managerial change, no ethics, below halfway in PL. Amazingly bad.

Thank you Rob. Bournemouth living Plymouth fan just back in Pokesdown after today’s game. Those Centre Backs would have headed meteorites today. Bar the chances of getting a ticket for the away end hoping for AFCB away and a 10 minute walk to the game, rather than 7 hours round trip if at home.
