I'd like to see them reprint the Dreamwave stuff first. There's got to be a way for that to get reprinted somehow. That entire catalogue is basically lost media at this point until someone reprints it all.

It was even more implicit in Uncanny X-Men Annual #14. However, in hindsight, one could argue that Ahab was actually talking about Cable's younger self, who was a prisoner of Ahab in this story as it takes place prior to Nathan being sent to the future in the first place.

It's not the technology getting worse, it's the studios cutting corners to "save money" so shareholders can squeeze out as much wealth as possible. Don't get me started on how new DVDs are on single layer discs that are so crammed with data the video is lousy with compression artifacts.
