Internet nobody.
I read the resonant computing thing (or tried to read it anyway) and am suddenly reminded why I no longer add my name to open letters. Or manifestos.

My employer, Dartmouth College, today boasts it's 1st Ivy "to launch AI at an institutional scale." It is doing this by partnering--"more than a collaboration"--with Anthropic, a company that stole the books of many faculty, me included, which many of us are suing.

I haven’t seen any of Better Call Saul yet, but I think I’m going to skip right to Pluribus. No idea if it’s the same universe except for Vince Gilligan and his favorite character, “Albuquerque”.

I'm currently reading 'They Said It Couldn’t Be Done', Wayne Coffey’s book about the 1969 World Series. Chapter 12 (Game Three against the Baltimore Orioles) includes a biography of Karl Ehrhardt.

You can't tell the story of the 1969 #Mets without the Sign Man.

This month's IndieWeb Book Club selection is "Understanding Comics" by @scottmccloud.bsky.social

Thanks to @artlung.com for picking this title!

I am re-reading the book, and posted a bit about it on my blog today: nicks.im/posts/2025-u...

Once again, @yaelrice.bsky.social and I published this article in 2020 so that no one ever has to debunk this vile nonsense point-by-point ever again. As we write (see the next post in this thread)...

Decided to wear the Clay Holmes hockey jersey giveaway from the #Mets game I attended at Citi Field in May. It’s the only garment in my closet that says NYC in huge letters across the chest.

Love ya, New York.

Japan's "Mundane Halloween" costume contest is back!

Each year website DailyPortalZ holds a contest where people dress up as something super duper ordinary.

Here's a thread of some of my favorites from the 2025 contest!

Where can I go to find the podcasts that are not really polished?

No intro/outro music, no expensive microphones, all the ums and ahs intact, etc…
