I've got rhythms I haven't used yet... The only NT in a house of NDs. Spent 5 hours in A&E on a first date. Distributed Easter eggs in the Andes. Broke my first window aged 2.

WTAF do schools think that does to people?

8 March 2021 - a date etched in my memory.

The day school went "back to normal" and the start of my son's mental health crisis.

Schools simply don't listen.

My son (ADHD, Autistic) thrived during Covid lockdown, in "key worker" school (reduced pressure, smaller classes, etc.).

We discussed with school and they agreed that other SEN kids were doing really well, and it would be great to learn from that for after lockdown.

Went to #Waddesdon yesterday for a thoroughly middle class day out in the rain. Extortionate entry prices these days, yet still huge queues of cars for prime time to see the lights. We went a bit earlier and missed the queues, but also missed the lights as autistic son (16th birthday) had had enough

Ultimately, we paid for a long walk in the rain, for some fast food eaten standing up, and for a view of thousands of other suckers handing over their money to the Rothschild Foundation that maintains this symbol of disproportionate wealth and privilege. Why do we do this to ourselves?

The little Christmas market looked quite good, mind... However, the entry cost for the family - £88 - just isn't worth it. We splashed out for the boy's birthday, hoping, as we have several times, to relive the fun we had the first time we visited when they had the 'tent lights' display...
