Gave my portfolio site an overdue coat of paint in anticipation of the (sadly postponed) Next Stage immersive summit, and I printed some cute new cards with space for me to personalize:

"Now, eventually, you do plan to have Tron in your Tron movie, right?"
nicktierce.com
No clearer sign of the times than the fact that Tron & Nine Inch Nails made a movie together and it did not have an ARG attached.

Tell me that ten years ago, and I wouldn't have believed there wasn't a campaign called "Flynn Zero" or something.

I will brace my heart.

Genuinely, yours is the only reaction I'm curious to hear about this one. (I am petrified to see this thing.)

I assume they only keep branding both coast's events "Halloween Horror Nights" because they assume folks won't visit both.

If they considered that audience, they would never duplicate the branding, as Hollywood is a carnival by comparison. I wonder if the park identity assumes a similar separation.

Adjusted for inflation, Dinosaur grossed nearly double what the most recent Indiana Jones movie did at the box office.

They're thinking a park called Animal Kingdom needs a character whose three traits include hating a specific animal.

In a world where "fandom" is quickly meaning self-aggrandized consumerism and the company itself is pushing it out; it's great to be part of a community of people that are passionate, heartfelt, honest, and creative.

Pure devotion to places we love.

Thrilled by the niche self-exploration of @hastin.net dropping facts at #RetroMagic about Earl Kaltenbach Jr. and Bradford Place, the California development he moved into entirely unaware of its place in the bygone legacy of Disneyland's Tomorrowland & Walt Disney World's Lake Buena Vista Townhomes.

All I want is a $10m Ewok movie to round out the trilogy.

He's celebrating the 100th anniversary of The Gold Rush, clearly.

It had a respectable average occupancy, the highest guest satisfaction ratings in the history of the company, and had announced plans to balance demand by adjusting the breakneck schedule — which they were never given the opportunity to try.

If Trump hadn't changed the tax code, it'd still be open.

My first assumption upon noticing the larger outlines in the leather behind Brody's Amity shield was that production had reused an old wallet, but now my group's headcanon is that those are wear from the character's previous mainland badges before he relocated to the island.

An inspired bit of Museum design, Ben Gardner's head is displayed in a room that has been dressed to look like the pool famously used to film the insert shot.

My favorite pieces at the Academy Museum Jaws exhibit were a slice of wood from the log cabin Steven Spielberg stayed in during production, the original screen that printed the crew shirts, an ad for a Jaws sandwich, and a photo of Elliot Gould looking lustfully at editor Verna Fields at the Oscars.
A slice of wood from a log cabin, mounted in a shadow box by a lunatic. A screen for printing crew shirts that totally looks like we could still use it to make some more shirts "How's this grab you? The JAWS SANDWICH" Elliott Gould looking lustfully at Verna Fields, who holds her Oscar for editing Jaws.

Picked up @dalicearrow.bsky.social's TRAMPS OF THE APOCALYPSE #3 yesterday — the circle is now complete!

Wild, hilarious, action-packed.

The trade paperback compilation will be released by @darkhorse.com in January, but I highly recommend seeking out the floppies now from your local comic shop.

I'm curious if a few more locations might pop up after they officially announce the double feature. It's been listing scraping up to this point.

The other major IMAX screens in town scheduling just Ares as an early release makes me think we're SOL.

It's all so definitionally liminal, but none of those ever crossed the decade threshold between installments.

Slightly smaller gap between Last Crusade and Crystal Skull than Tron and Legacy, but I think you're right. Indy wins this very strange race.

But mathematically in terms of years between installments, this is a pretty singular spread, isn't it?
