Tom Rooney. This play could have been dull or confusing and it was neither. Tight, lean, funny, well built. Tom has that best actor’s ability of being unrecognizable in each role while looking the same. He did 17 roles all unique & fully realized. Tom is as great an actor as any you care to name.

Pretty sure I was set up for a date on Friday night, but a) being totally unprepared, b) hearing impaired in a terrible sound environment, and c) no real way to follow up, I doubt this will go anywhere. Still, I appreciate the effort and subterfuge.

A coworker came into my office complaining and said ‘F*ck me’, and I said ‘Not today’. He thought I meant he wouldn’t get the docs today, and I had to explain my joke by repeating it, and that made it worse for everyone.

Seems that Cat Power is playing History. The last time I saw her was at Fallsview, where she sang Dylan's Royal Albert Hall Concert '66. I saw her with my last girlfriend, who was quite definitely Not Impressed. That was a sign. I dumped her a couple more red flags later. Good riddance.

There are tough anniversaries at this time of year and I was feeling pretty blue, but hanging out with a friend all weekend really lifted me out of that. But how to say that without making things weird? I’m not sure we as a friends pair or even as a larger society are there yet. And it’s sad.
