It was my kids’ One Book last year when I was still reading everything out loud, and I simply could not read some of the words on the page near the end. So good, in so many ways. We all loved it.

Alternatively, you will start getting text messages from random parents your kid has given your phone number to, written in crayon, with a note that says “Nugget’s Dad”

You just hang out and wait for the kids friend to come out with their parents and a simple: “hey! Your French Fry’s mom/dad! I’m Nugget’s dad. Nugget’s been talking about French Fry after preschool, they’re buddies! Want to meet up at a park after pick up tomorrow?”

This can’t be real. She says she gets morning light at 5:45 but the sun doesn’t rise that early here in Chicago much of the year (including now). Also yeah the walking barefoot thing - temps are frigid half the year.
