Been a little visitor causing a stir at Goldcliff Lagoons, this morning I got a spare hour to pop across there and was lucky enough to see it.
The visitor is a Wryneck, a member of the woodpecker family and a rare visitor to this side of the UK & although flighty it was feeding & showing well

As i drove home through the lanes on Sunday with the car windows open, I heard a very familiar zi zi call so pulled over and soon spotted a gold flash between two trees - a pair of beautiful Goldcrests, our smallest bird, feeding up well.💚

An obliging Rock Pipit yesterday giving me a view at Aberaeron Beach yesterday morning after the fabulous Sabine’s Gulls decided to move from lens distance to a buoy about a mile and half away from shore 🤦‍♀️ huge thanks to the very kind birder who let me get at least a record view thru his scope
