Like I mentioned, I just went through it. It hurts, and it’s hard. I was really struggling with the decision until I came to that realization, and it helped me see I really was doing it for her. It comforted me and I hope it can do the same for you.

I just did this last week - it is wrenching, and I’m so so sorry. But listen: you are taking on her pain so she doesn’t have to feel it anymore, and that is the most loving and noble thing you can do for her now. Compassion and support to you, friend.

She’s beautiful, and what a joyful, safe, snuggly life of comfy compassionate chaos she’s living with you. Even on the bad days, she knows she’s loved.
