How do you rate Foords form this season. A lot of discourse on X about her single goal but do you think that accurately reflects her contribution. Been pivotal in many of the own goals and been unlucky at times not to be credited when she’s found the net. Are her stats giving the full picture?

Not at all. I was referring to moving players on at end of season. My point was that the default response after a bad result is to move on all the older players and do a compete rebuild, which would mean a huge loss of experience and impact performances. We need a mixture of youth and experience

If Renee announced prior to a match that McCabe Foord Catley & Mead were out through injury, it would leave a massive hole.Yet these are the players fans want out at end of season. We need refreshing, but can’t lose all at once. If you could only renew 2 of the 30+’s inc Kim who would it be and why?

On this, even a respected podcast this week was quite mocking of them starting every match and suggested they were not worthy starters. This discourse only adds to the abuse they receive, which is unacceptable given that, at times this season, they have been among our best performers.

Should Renee be more transparent about injury management for the sake of player welfare? Clearly Kelly & Smith have been managing injuries, leading to online abuse of Mead and Foord for starting every game. Both deserve better from the club and fans for what’s being asked of them with little support

I never thought I’d see the day where both McCabe and Fox get a rest but bringing in Hinds has made that possible. Such a versatile player whose quality grows more evident match by match. I would argue that she has been our best signing this season. Your thoughts?

An unexpected starting 11 but it actually worked really well. All played to their strengths and connections were strong across the pitch. We haven’t seen that enough this season and it was fun to watch. So are we ever seeing this starting 11 again or are we back to what wasn’t working for Chelsea?

Who stood out in the international break and how do you think international performances will affect the starting line up against Leicester. Good game time for some who haven’t played a lot but loading issues for some who have. Who starts on Sunday between McCabe and Hinds? Both looked very good.

In the first block there wasn’t enough rotation in midfield even though it wasn’t clicking, and too much in the forward line that didn’t allow them to click. Do we need the stability of a settled starting XI in this block to re-establish ourselves and if so who would your XI be (injuries considered)

Seeing criticism online about Smith and Foord’s performances and whether they work well together but I thought they both offered something yesterday. Renée’s tried every winger combo and is still changing it up which I’d imagine is unsettling for them all. How do you see the wingers going forward?

Saw Foord mark Bunny Shaw on set pieces twice in this match and it cost us. Foord is not a tall player. With such a difference in height and bodily presence there’s little chance of competing for the ball. Why weren’t we lining up our tallest defender on their most dangerous player?
October 5, 2025 at 10:22 PM
Did Smith’s great debut mask the fact that she is 21 yo with little big game experience? A locked in starter while WCL winning wingers sit on the bench. Some decision making has been poor. Shoots from tight angles when teammates are screaming for the ball in the box etc. Too much pressure too soon?

We seem to be heavily favoring the right side this season. Do you think this is a deliberate tactic to get the ball to Smith, or more due to having a new young right-sided center back who is more comfortable playing the ball out to Fox on the right. Our left wingers just arent getting enough service

Frustrates me why we don’t have a player of the match poll after games we don’t win. Some of the most heroic performances come in draws and losses. I’m thinking Katie Reid in this match but there have been others before who’ve dropped a stellar performance and had little recognition.

With 3 mainly right wingers and one left, was interested to see which side Renee played each against LCL. Not surprised with Smith on the right but a bit surprised by Kelly over Foord on the left especially after a full pre-season for Foord. Renee likes a settled starting 11. Will it stay this way?

Does Katie and Jenna scoring in the recent behind closed doors friendly suggest they were being played up higher, and do you think it’s possible Katie could be a back up winger for Caitlin if Beth were to leave, especially with Jenna and Steph both able to fill the left full back position.

As an Aussie, stoked by Steph’s B’dor nom but equally shocked by Caitlin’s omission. An outstanding season and, like Steph, performance in UWCL final was one for the ages. For the Tillies, defense has been poor recently but Foord often among B.O.G. Keen to hear Jamie’s view - was it the right call?
August 10, 2025 at 11:42 PM
It was said post UWCL that the club wanted to tie down key players with improved terms. Was this limited to the mid-20’s players or were some of the club ‘pillars’ in the conversation. Some of our 30ish players were fundamental in our success and would be a loss if they felt undervalued and left.

With the Asian Cup being played in Australia in March, do you think there will be pressure placed on the Australian players by the club to return early for the Champion’s league QF. Since the Asian Cup extends beyond the standard international break, are the club able to limit their involvement?

How do you think Arsenal will vote the new FIFA Women’s Champions Cup?
A: Prestige. The first name on a trophy that could go on to become very coveted.
B: Commercial opportunity. Build the fan base. Win money.
C: Developmental. Rest the starters and take young or less played players for experience

Ok, cards on the table - who is getting a Ballon D’or nom (Mariona and Russo 🔒) but also who deserves one but may be overlooked. Non Euros participation may affect chances for McCabe, Fox, Foord, Little, Catley. Have any of them done enough without the Euros to pick up a nomination?

Thinking of our Champions League campaign as a whole up to this point, who has been our most important player, and why?
May 20, 2025 at 8:18 AM
So disappointing that she didn’t get a player of the season nomination. She probably wouldn’t have won but deserved the recognition. Our most consistent performer & almost always excellent. Would be interested to see what our win loss ratio was when she started matches compared to when she didn’t.
May 12, 2025 at 3:39 AM
Caldentey, Foord & Russo almost always step up & perform regardless of the state of the game, yet they are also the ones most likely to switch positions during a match. Does Renée need to settle on a fixed position for each and recruit and build her team around this trio? All 3 are worthy of POTS
