Been working hard on this for a few evenings for Club: Fallback's Xmas party. Building on work by @dj-aves.bsky.social who has been optimising assets, I've added enhanced shaders, put up the Christmas decorations and various other little effects to the Bass Station! First event is tonight!
New spawn point and updated entrance and exterior to the Bass Station world, with haze lights on street lamps, GPU snow particles and Christmas lights. Updated Interior of the Bass Station with Christmas decorations, updated pulse lights and room geometry shaders too. Poster for tonight's Club: Fallback event, featuring Wren Mouse at 8PM Central US time (2am UTC), Databases Beats at 9 and Lau at 10.

Got my copy today of @tldrnews.bsky.social's new book today, "Assembly Required", a coffee table book with pictures and info on the design and history of Parliaments around the world. Hoping this might give me things to think about when I'm needing to design meeting places in VR in the future. :D

If you have a copy of Word, you still actually can.
Create a new file, save as 'Word 97-2003 Document (*.doc)'. Then go to Insert > WordArt and... There they all are. :3

Spent the morning adding support for @sim.red's VRC Light Volumes to the custom shader @hiyu.bsky.social's Spirit avatar uses. Was certainly worth it! :D

My spirit avatar near a pool in Fin's Aquarius world with VRC Light Volumes enabled on my avatar showing the mix of warm lighting on my upper half and cooler lighting on my lower half. The same picture as previous, but switched to a version of my avatar with the original Spirit shader that does not have Light Volume support and so it is lit uniformly across the entire mesh from light probes. Moody textured spot lighting done with light volumes in a world called 'NightRealm˸ dorukolorukalai Sweet Homeon', where it just lights my spirit's face and shoulders. Light Volumes providing proper shadows across the avatar resulting in a nice clean terminator across the body half way. Taken in a world called Color Theory.

I'll always have some fond memories of it at least, helping me bootstrap ideas I later turned in to a sci-fi tabletop universe for my friends before the pandemic.
Hopefully I can revisit that world eventually...

Myself in VRChat as my Slipfin avatar, an alien amphibian species with four green eyes, wide maw, dark purple scales, lighter belly colouring with spotted edges, round squishy ears that perk up with shiny green spots and glowing fins, one of which is visible on my arm. I'm laying on my side, smiling at the camera as Hiyu, as his green and white feathered spiri'vali (avali) avatar, lays on his back nestled on top of me comfortably, also smiling to the camera. We're lit both by a warm yellow/gold light that reflects heavily off my body and his longer wing feathers.
