So is BlueSky essentially a politics site now?

I was hoping for early Twitter, before Elmo, before the doom scrolling, before the white knights and virtue signalers.

But I'm seeing cultured artists shut-down and the culture war echo chamber established anew.

Not liking our chances anymore.

There was so much potential, I wondered why I couldn't find a single artist with a skill level above crayon drawings, but I think I've found it.

I dunno, when I made an account I wanted the same thing, just not owned by a toddler; guess Twitter wins this one.

I'd pay good money to see that happen.

Gotta ask, why the doom-and-gloom about the Tangerine Traitor all the time? We need to ridicule him and make light of his trolling, lest he be emboldened by his 'own the libs' agenda. Its clear he's self-destructing the country out of spite, but he's still a dancing clown for our entertainment.

So you know how social media reinforces a user's views by showing them only the 'side' they have previously searched for in order to create the algorithm's idea of their 'profile'?

Can we not just search opposing opinions on our family members' devices to get them out of their echo chambers?

So since the Tangerine Traitor has cut foreign aid and endangered thousands of people in medical need, is it safe to say that the next president, no matter who it is, is gonna get one hell of a boon when they start it back up?

But if the 'illegals' have a lower crime rate than both US citizens and legal immigrants, then wouldn't them coming in lower the average crime rate?

And that's before filtering out the criminals. Isn't letting filtered immigrants in just free economic growth?

This might be the actual bad thing that happens this year for me.

Don't know if anyone agrees, but maybe don't cut ties to bird-site just yet. Not because it has any value, but because we need to occasionally start some shit or the cultists will think they have the place to themselves.

So, since starting BlueSky and not really using Twitter, does anyone else think the read-order and nesting way of consuming these types of sites is kinda dumb? What was wrong with top-to-bottom? I get confused as to which posts came first to this day.
