It’s been a great week for our home energy. ASHP running during cold nights at 7p/kWh but rooftop solar covered most of our demand during sunny days. It also did all our hot water and even charged the car a bit for free. Not bad for a tiny west facing array in Northern Europe in early March!

Lots of talk today about how Chinese DeepSeek is doing AI using a fraction of the hardware of the leading US firms. Does anyone know what the implications are for projected data centre energy use?
