"Cleopatra", "How the West Was Won" and "It's a Mad Mad World" are the top three Not sure that's an omen I should be looking forward to !

My pension is NOT a welfare payment. It is a legitimate repayment of monies removed from my pay packet over the past forty years on the promise that HMG will conserve the funds until I retire. The fact that they decided to spend it on hospitals, roads, schools or weapons is their choice, not mine

So the devolved institutions in Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland will be ignored as Parliamentary supremacy reigns supreme. Oh joy! Oh Bliss ! What an anti democratic way of dealing with citizens where their message tends not to be regarded well

No. Condition one of Euro is two years membership of the Exchange Rate Mechanism but membership of ERM is discretionary so if you choose not to join ERM you will be barred from joining Euro

Schengen I can agree with but the Euro ties us to a disparate set of economies. FOM is an absolute must having returned from a River Danube cruise south of Budapest, my passport is stamped in and out from five different countries and I rarely got off the boat!!

Second idea- Ask the second in command of Japanese Rail to come to UK and be in charge of all rail activities for three years to implement the basic philosophies of the Japanese Rail ethos. Whatever it costs will be recouped in greater satisfaction and increased traffic

Why is a rail fare not simply a rate per mile? A 50 mile journey should cost half what a 100 mile journey costs. You can apply discounts for returns, multiple journeys or multiple passengers but if there is a base rate then it is fully understandable.

Would it be a little better if you could spell "believe" correctly

It's a story for heaven's sake! Stop treating lightweight fiction as if it is Holy Writ!

If you use the female voice rather than the default male one it is a lot less robotic

Thank you for this daily prayer. Occasionally I have to convene a business meeting on a church sub committee and it falls to me to commence with a prayer. Your daily offerings deliver a wonderful resource with which to start the meeting. It also gets me brownie points for its relevance and charm

Player running deliberately in front of kicker is offside. Experience kicker under no pressure whatsoever fluffs a kick. This is an example of two players deliberately playing in an unsporting manner The sanction of yellow card would apply to both of them

Next time can you print it black letters on white background please. It's so hard to read the other way round!!

Why is the opinion of an acknowledged wife-beater of any consequence to anyone else?

This is nothing to do with their rights All have Social, Legal, Welfare Political rights (re Marshall) as citizens of this country. But that does not obscure the fact that they are biologically male/female from birth. This, as per our highest court is immutable and factual not a point of preference

The fact that the Government has a crazy accounting system that makes it look like the cash is coming from current income rather than a fund set up when they took the money, is irrelevant despite how they gaslight you.

My pension is not a "benefit" It is a repayment of monies extracted from my monthly salary over my 40 year working life.
