Got it off greenman gaming for $40!
Thinking about grabbing it on PC/Steam Deck. Always seemed neat to me but by the time I acquired a PlayStation (2000 or so?) I just never thought to play the thing. But yeah feeling a need for this kind of experience right now. And since you’re my go-to FF fella, figured I’d ask about it.

When it came out in early access I played it for a few weeks and had a great time, but I put it down so I could wait for the full release. All I can say is it feels better, plus it's obviously more complete. Anyway, started a new game and the whole thing is reminding me why I love video games.

It’s a work, you see. They need to make it appear real! So DK establishes New Donk City and stages a kidnapping of a harmless child in order to unify mankind. The rest of the story we all know. Mario “saves” her, like the militarized pawn that he is, and society entrusts Pauline to be Mayor For Life

Pauline must build a civilization to bring together mankind in the midst of war & famine. But in order to unite humanity she understands there needs to be a common enemy to convince the masses. She and DK both agree that he will take on the heavy burden of being that threat - that symbol of terror.

Been meaning to ask you what you thought about this one. Seemed up your alley, then when I popped online briefly over the weekend (to lose a few rounds in SF6) I saw you were playing it and I thought all was right and its proper place.
