overflow: clip is my absolute go-to. It has less weird side-effects and actually more closely resembles what most people expect hidden to do. Great stuff :)

I suppose this is somewhat true for React as well, especially with React Compiler. I'm sure it's a problem of not knowing exactly what is going on, so I'm running into all sorts of issues on the way

I think it's not intuitive, because in order to understand React compiler you first need to understand React. But that's not my gripe with Vue – React, as weird and verbose as it might appear, has very little "magic" happening. In Vue, the code I write is not the code I get, it seems

It might just be that "I'm holding it wrong". Surely Vue devs trying React or Next.js have similar complaints.

But it seems to me like Vue makes it really easy to hold it wrong.
