I suppose this is somewhat true for React as well, especially with React Compiler. I'm sure it's a problem of not knowing exactly what is going on, so I'm running into all sorts of issues on the way

I think it's not intuitive, because in order to understand React compiler you first need to understand React. But that's not my gripe with Vue – React, as weird and verbose as it might appear, has very little "magic" happening. In Vue, the code I write is not the code I get, it seems

It's at the stage where ChatGPT starts confidently bullshitting in its answers because very little has been written about how all the React and Next.js internals actually come together when RSCs, SSR, Suspense etc. are combined.
