Shockingly coherent for a 3.5 hr long movie cut down to 90 minutes. Stunningly beautiful cinematography....a huge tragedy we will never get to watch this full movie as intended.

Real "my daddy was a twister, it's in my blood" energy tho which also made it deeply deeply funny and bearable

Also super weird to have read this right after rereading The Goblin Emperor and just being budgeoned with the fact that i just fucking love this very niche fantasy style. Oddly similar feels, but I guess Addison has also written a Sherlock Holmes pastiche...

This book was so excellent, I am so excited for the next one in the spring. Exactly the kind of extremely intricate political fantasy I am a complete sucker for.
