It depends on the milkweed species you plant. Your best bet is swamp milkweed, which is our only native species. It’s very hardy. Also butterflyweed, a compact milkweed, is winter hardy. And beautiful!

I’m lucky to have a drilled well but am trying to be water smart. So dry!
