My parents do this, all drinks are stored in the extension which has no inbuilt heating of its own. Good for keeping things cool but not too cold.

Well this isn't bad I suppose. No doubt there will be minor adjustments to the lights. Fan too big & bulky to take upstairs so it will face the wall instead.
