once you understand how a lot of music is laid out, the effort it takes to find things that are truly novel just increases. So does the sense that in the meantime, without pushing things, you're just rehashing what you already know to work

good question. it's hard to say. I feel a bit jaded towards a lot of things I used to enjoy? Like my love for fantasy was kind of crushed by our old DnD group. As for music I'm not sure what's changed. It's kind of like everything sounds the same

I used to create almost in retaliation to the things I was supposed to do, and it felt good to do it! Fuck chores, fuck homework, and fuck everything else—if i wanted to twiddle knobs and make fun sounds, I did, and i did it every day for hours! where did it go??
