i played a little of in stars in time and i liked it!!! i mostly wanna avoid the rpgmaker horror where theres a guy that chases you using the autonomous movement approach feature as the primary scary mechanic coz i think its overdone, i love rpgmaker as engine! afaik isit doesnt do this but idk

PLUS THE CROSS IS NARRATIVELY IMPORTANT Like fuck yesss priest using a cross so awesome exorcism go oh my goshhhh nayway i just finished chapter 2 i'm excited to play more faith!!!!!!!!! it does so much with so little. its extremely impressive

now there IS guy is chasing you in faith but somehow pulling out your cross and the cross having a specific range and directional alignment required to hit makes a massive difference to the enjoyment levels vs you just run away and avoid/leave the room

id also be open to rpgmaker horror that isnt just overusing the Guy Chases You mechanic. theyre all doing this and its tiring. i do not considering being guychased a good horror when its just this + spooky atmosphere. i feel like this just isnt fun gameplay wise

in general i am noticing horror is a genre where theres less truly brilliant games than other genres? why is this. im a big survivalhorror enjoyer (old silent hill i looovey ouuu so) and i notice there could be more horror in the world
