Nothing from America surprises me any more. It's seems a land of entitlement and arrogance. Hoping this is just an aberration and it will return to its senses.

Our TalkTalk phone line went down. Were told an engineer was working to rectify. Following 5 days and much chasing nothing happened. I explained my wife relys on phone line due to I'll health, then was told they will get an engineer onto it. They blatantly lie.

I agree, I went to a large state school In the 70s. Assembly in the morning included Christian prayer. Non Christian pupils waited outside, never did I witness or hear of these kids being picked on. As you say it would never occur to us.

It's been proven they don't bring money. Their security bill exceeds any benefit they might bring. Imagine Buckingham palace and Windsor castle were fully opened as art galleries. Imagine the tourist demand.

I thought it was a very good series, and would have liked to have had more episodes. I thought it was entirely fair in its representation of the Empire. Unfortunately there is a section of people who believe the old propaganda of Empire, and won't allow critical thinking.
