In Dutch they call these "verstandskiezen" which literally translates to wisdom teeth _but_ is also a linguistic dilution of "ver staande kiezen" or "teeth who are standing far away" which is technically the reason why some dentists remove them as they are harder to reach with a toothbrush.

It’s especially sad as Kelsey is a highly respected figure in tech. Of all people he shouldn’t be a victim of this.

Omdat ODC dus niet levert wat een Azure/M365 wel doet. ODC levert hout, maar de behoefte is meubels. (Om in de analogie van @berthubert.bsky.social te blijven) En Microsoft verkoopt die meubels mooi en je kan ze in elkaar klikken op een laagdrempelige wijze.

Dat is alleen colo volgens mij. Dus stroom, kastruimte etc. Je moet hier zelf nog je servers neerzetten en is dus niet eens het basis consumptiemodel van cloud -> IaaS. Geen alternatief voor het ecosysteem van de Azures en AWS’en van deze wereld

That could be. tcp/179 can be open (must be for BGP to work by default) But if you stop announcing routes, there's no way to reach destinations outside of your AS. But maybe VPN/Tor access is possible via mobile coverage from adjacent countries in border areas which 'spills' over into parts of Iran?

Yeah, BGP adjecencies are up, but routes are not exchanged/are not advertised. You could to BGP multhop (with a TTL > 1), but this requires an IGP and specific config on both sides.

De boards en directoraten van bedrijven en overheden trappen erin omdat er te weinig techneuten zijn die ze op een goede wijze hierin kunnen adviseren. Maar dat punt heb je al eerder uitstekend gemaakt. De salesmachine van AWS en haar partners draait ook in mijn LinkedIn feed op volle toeren.

What I liked about the conversation is that it addressed the history (block wars etc.), relation to Tether, the flawed economics of Bitcoin as a currency etc. What I would like to know more about is how tradfi looks at crypto in general and BTC specifically.

Waar komt toch die ziekelijke obsessie met zijn huidige woonplaats en/of komaf toch vandaan. Dus activisme, scherpheid van pen is alleen voorbehouden aan NLD’se ingezetene met 1x modaal inkomen ofzo? Zijn daar regels voor?
