Also, I think it's reasonable to be skeptical that the Houthis are 'rational actors'; as best as I can tell, they are state sponsored religious extremists. They seem like idealogues. There's no reason to think if we have them here they wouldn't exist elsewhere.

Let's not ignore the past 50 years and centuries of relevant history and conflict that influence folks' behavior, particularly where Israel is concerned.
