Side note: I kept getting startled by bare hands. Sir where are thy gloves. Thou art sweating all over me. And the corset scenes are forgivable when viewed through the lens of gender dysphoria rather than misogyny. Loved the attention to detail for men’s fashion.

Highly recommend it. It’s also the kind of silly, twelfth night esque take on pride and prejudice that I just adore. I don’t like miscommunications, but I sure as hell love queer mistaken identity shenanigans. And by silly what I really mean is joyful. It is by no means insignificant a tale

Episode two down. A detail I love in this show is that the hive people don’t talk to each other because they don’t NEED to, and it’s really eerie. We only hear them talk aloud when addressing Carol because they can’t just have her know automatically through hive mind shit
