I don’t think that you understand that any working American should get the benefits for which they contributed. I contributed to a pension fund for 30 years and I contributed to Social Security for 20 years. Getting the benefits that I paid for is not an entitlement nor is it a gift.

By mistake, I mean it should not have been done in the first place. The correction returned the policy to what it always should have been, you pay in and you earn your quarters. You receive the compensation when you retire.

This is a working class concern. Civil servants are not rich. Many of us paid for years into Social Security only to be told we would get it at basically 1/4 of what we should receive. Thank Sharrod Brown and President Biden for the Social Security fairness act.
