That’s @yougov.co.uk asking the important questions today.

The only correct answer is of course Strongly Agree, and if you think otherwise, well, enjoy being wrong. You can just sit there in how terribly wrong you are.

Delighted to announce that even though the knitting of it has caused me actual physical harm, the #PaulKleeSweater that gave me tennis elbow does, in fact, fit. Just a sleeve and a half and some minor tweaks to go.

After my total lack of success in getting into any of the #SuperHalfs next year, other than Berlin which I’ve done 4 times and will be doing again in 2026, I wasn’t expecting much joy from the waitlists. I’m pure delighted to have been proved wrong and will running the Valencia Half next October!

I’m just glad that my temporarily-scuppered elbow doesn’t affect the other thing that I’ve made my entire personality. It was proper lovely weather for a run this St Andrew’s Day (just about) morning. #RunningPunks

The current state of the jumper in question, for those of you wondering. It’s the #PaulKleeSweater by Midori Hirose. It’s a touch conical on the yoke, but that’ll be fixed once the sleeves and the rest of the body are done, I’ll either see how it blocks or rip back the neck ribbing.

Props to my GP for seeing me quickly, and for diagnosing me with lateral epicondylitis (aka tennis elbow) and not laughing when we worked out that it’s been brought on by my knitting excessively in an attempt to spend less time on my phone 🙃.

This jumper better bloody fit, is all I’m saying.

A slightly icy run round the park this morning, with signs of solidarity and a wee pal at the end. #RunningPunks

I didn’t realise how much I needed to get out for a run until I was actually moving. Today was perfect, crisp and cold, with @coachbennett.bsky.social’s commentary on gratitude. I spent today’s 8km thinking of a friend, and how grateful I was to have known her. #RunningPunks

This weekend was full of joy and friendship, and at the same time utterly devastating. This planet has lost the kindest, brightest soul far too early. If there’s anything she taught me, it’s to please check your chests regularly folks, and tell people you love them. Make it weird.

Did some converting at the London Transport Museum today and nearly cried.

Life is far too fucking short, team. Tell your friends you love them while they’re here.

Right, I’m ready to get my heart broken again. #ValenciaHalfMarathon

Unsolicited kit pic.

Cardiff half marathon, before and after. Last half of the year, lads. Lovely to meet so many #RunningPunks in person. Turns out yous are all actual 3D humans! Who knew?!

Today’s attempt at a run was considerably more successful than the last effort. 13km along the incredibly autumnal Clyde as a dress rehearsal for 13.1 miles next Sunday in Cardiff. Hope to see some #RunningPunks there!

A run of two halves, two robins, and a crescent moon. Today’s effort was a short recovery run to warm up, and a progressive tempo run to proper get the cobwebs out. Lovely stuff. #RunningPunks

Two gigs? In one week?! Who do I think I am? Saw the brilliant Daði Freyr (again) and Montaigne on Wednesday, and the perfect pop stylings of Blusher last night. If there’s any justice, Blusher will be playing much bigger venues than the dinky Poetry Club at SWG3 next time they’re here…

I finally did it lads, I did it! I got them in a row! 🦆

10 miles after 3 days of socialising was never going to be a party, but actually it was only during the last 3km that I had to make a proper mental effort not to ditch it. Which is good because it’s 5 weeks to Cardiff… #RunningPunks

Thanks to lovely folks on socials, I’ve gone from being a total arachnophobe, to being able to deal with spiders calmly and gently. However, in saying that, I reserve the right to scream the fucking place down when a GIANT one appears under the bathroom door and runs directly at me WHILE I’M PEEING.

Thwarted by the PS Waverley again, doing a rogue earlier sailing than normal for a Sunday. Still, with the Cardiff Half creeping ever-closer, that’s 10 surprisingly enjoyable miles done before it got too hot. #RunningPunks

I somehow managed to do the same number of steps in that 14km run as I did yesterday on day six of six at work. Which explains why that 14km run was rough on the old legs. Got round it, and don’t need to do that again today. #RunningPunks

Double the cats, double the nonsense.
August 8, 2025 at 7:20 PM
Took a detour to a galaxy far, far away on today’s lush 12km in the sun along the Clyde and Kelvin rivers. That was my longest run for a while, actually, I’m glad my legs still know what to do! #RunningPunks

An 8km tempo run before 7am? I truly don’t recognise myself anymore. #RunningPunks

My inability to coordinate my runs with the Waverley’s sailing times continues, although at least today I was able to cross the Govan bridge after only a short wait instead of having to rejig my route on the fly! Also met a lovely wee tuxie pal on the way. Happy Saturday, #RunningPunks!
