I think when people say talent, they generally mean that someone is naturally GOOD at something.
Like someone just picks up a pen and can draw a human first try, and THAT type of talent isn't really a thing.
I'm sure there are rare cases where this happens, but not enough that it matters.

I'm not a writer though, so whilst I had a slight headstart or cottoned on to the information I was being taught quicker, that doesn't mean I'm automatically better.
This type of ease at learning can also only apply to earlier stages of a subject or artform etc.

I wouldn't say that's what "talent" is.
There are most definitely people who take to things easier than others.
I found English pretty easy in School for example, whereas my friends found Maths to be easier, just because we had natural proclivities for those subjects.

but they never made slop illegal :(
