I also would like to see Sam go through a story without wrestling over the "but do I *deserve* the Shield?" bullshit. YES. YES, SAM, YOU DO. NOW GO KICK ASS.

I wish Sam had more of a connection to the central conflict, but he's there basically incidentally. His personal stakes only exist because of a choice *he* made near the start, and "I saw it all because The Probabilities!" isn't a convincing enough justification.
