Now I know:

- I have 4 hours today
- These 3 tasks will take ~3h 30m
- That's realistic. I can commit to that.

No more guessing.

No more overcommitting.

No more burnout from impossible schedules.

Using Cursor + Claude Code, I built something completely new:

✅ Time tracking that learns YOUR speed (not generic estimates)
✅ "Today" planning - Pick tasks based on actual time available
✅ Historical intelligence - "You usually take 47 minutes for this"
✅ Focus Mode - One task, zero distractions

I ultimately ended The Nine-Five Podcast because I couldn't keep up with my own impossible schedule of never ending to-dos.

Then I moved to YouTube.

Different platform. Same exhaustion.

So over the past week, I decided to fix the problem.

The problem wasn't laziness.

It was unrealistic expectations.

I had NO IDEA how long things were actually taking me to complete:

"Edit podcast episode"
- 30 minutes? 2 hours? 4 hours?

I'd guess. I'd be wrong. I'd overcommit. I'd burn out.

Two years ago, I burned out from podcasting.

Not from creating the actual podcast itself.

From what came after the initial push.

My typical Monday:
→ "I'll finish 10 tasks today"
→ 6pm arrives
→ I've completed 3
→ Feel like a failure
→ Repeat

Completely agree! I submitted something similar to their open beta feedback form the other day!

Not to mention, Android is making it more and more of a pain to get an app approved and even moved into an open beta...

The wait periods are ridiculous!

That said, I do hope you eventually get an android version released.. I'd be there 🙋‍♂️

I'd rather follow along on the journey of what @skylight.social is doing.

It's only in beta right now, but they've accomplished so much in such a short amount of time.

I really hope that app becomes THE place to be.

But I might be AT Protocol biased 🤷‍♂️😂

One of my favorite things to do in ChatGPT for script writing is to use the Canvas feature.

It essentially opens up your script in a "doc editor" right in ChatGPT.

Then you can manually make edits, OR highlight sections have have ChatGPT re-write that section for you.
