I feel like the world of consumer GPU cards has pretty much gotten ahead of the curve of modern game graphics. I have a modest 4060 and I can play all my favorite games at max graphics no problem

More sophisticated design and honestly just better component qualities make a huge difference. An old capacitor from the 80s probably wastes a battery life’s worth of heat energy in a few months lol

Not true at all. Old computers were clunky and energy inefficient. Even with high yield GPU intensive activities modern computers are much more efficient
