My son lives in San Diego & told me about an ICE raid in the restaurant across the street from his home. A crowd stopped the truck from leaving, screaming fuck you. Heartbreaking, yet anger inducing.

I’ve been feeling as if I’m one of the silent seniors people talk about. I felt hopeless and helpless. But someone alerted me to the 5 Calls app. I can make my voice heard! It may not be much but, as an American, my voice counts.

Your plans for Jan 20 2025? I’m unplugging my tv & picking up the book I still haven’t started. My birthday is the 19th so I’ll keep celebrating. No celebrating DC for me.
