How could they impeach the President if everything the President has done is legal and that he is in good health and sounded mind? Or are you saying that the American democratic institutions are broken? That the current president was elected using a dysfunctional system? I think you're right.

Mon point toutefois est que de donner le pouvoir à la droite de définir les termes hors de leur sens est une pente glissante, comme on peut le voir autant avec woke, socialisme ou fake news (qui originellement désignait des médias de droite à sensation comme Infowars).

Mon point toutefois est que de donner le pouvoir à la droite de définir les termes hors de leur sens est une pente glissante, comme on peut le voir autant avec woke, socialisme ou fake news (qui originellement désignait des médias de droite à sensation comme Infowars).

J'ai tendance à être d'accord pour ce cas précis: désinformation où fausse nouvelle aurait fait mieux. D'autant plus que l'usage de fake news par l'orang-outrant est beaucoup plus en relation avec l'organisation médiatique qu'avec la nouvelle elle-même.

I would say it's not, since this is also what this Administration wanted: a dissolution of the EU and NATO and the division of Ukraine resources between the US and Russia. So, it's more like if the German officer suddenly found out the American agent actually wants Germany to succeed and help them.

The agent's immunity gives them protection. The monetary bonus gives them incentives. They have all the reasons to lean towards unjustified arrest and lie about it. That's how authoritarianism works (personal gains for some) and why ultimately it falls (in a hierarchy, everyone loses but the top).

Not sure I like the comparison. The visceral hate for Obama was mostly racism: purely based on his name and skin color. I don't know anyone that considers Trump's name and orange skin as problematic. Ridiculous and artificial, yes, but not problematic.

Gardener worked as a foreign policy advisor for the Giuliani presidential campaign, which should say enough about him. He's also the director of the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom of the Heritage Foundation. That should tell you a lot about his vision of the Western Civilization.

À mon avis, ce n'est pas tant en censurant ces termes qu'on parviendra à lutter contre cette désinformation, mais en refusant les raccourcis de pensée dont ils font partie.

Étant donné la tendance de la droite et des conspirationnistes à détourner des termes originellement utilisés pour exprimer des idées de gauche (socialisme, anarchisme, incel, woke, red pill, fake news), ça peut devenir très limitatif.

It would still be nice to have such ability, like "I voted 49% X, 25% Y, 13% Z, and the rest among the other candidates".
But, yeah, I will be happy with just a simple proportional too. It would already be a big improvement.
