I chose to be a homeless teen. I didn’t choose to be a homeless mother at 27. I chose to walk away from family. I know what it is for a TBI to halt my life & take away the things I valued most about myself. I know profound, disenfranchised grief.

I also know the invincible summer inside me.

I am guilty of therapy-purchasing plants & books. Over the summer, I thought I purchased two Hannah Arendt books at 3am on a sleepless night, but six came in the mail along with the freakin' Cambridge Companion. I wanted to learn about authoritarianism to write fiction. Not for... gestures around.

Trump et al cannot be adequately explained by stupidity. The time for likening them to clowns, imbeciles, buffoons, etc. is long over. Everything is calculated, including the ambiguities in Agenda 47.

I never, despite having an account, used X/Twitter. I'd like to engage more, here, if I can figure out a way to use my limited character count. I'm more likely to produce essays than sticky-notes in general, but it's never too late to work on the virtue of brevity.
