It took quite awhile but I am very happy with the outcome. I rendered mostly everything in Blender from the rocks, water and Ifrit (I also rigged and posed him for this). I painted in the background/clouds smoke and used various stock photos as well for the fire/embers. Colors adjusted in PS.
