Got inspired by sketches from the artist Perry Allen today & did a style study of his character Chloe. I want to do more expressions but only had time for the one today. I'll post some of the screenshots in the comments, but you can find the reference on his artstation.

Since I work full-time, fitting in practice time in my mornings is so precious to me. I only get about 2 hours to draw and sculpt. So I do 30min of gesture, a 20min animal bust, and then a 30min stylized bust. The results aren't always great, but this one was cute.

A while ago, I made this cute otter girl that I had plans for printing & making clothing by hand. But quickly I learned it was just a little too difficult for me & something I don't find much interest in. So I may go back and print clothed versions instead, as I still love her.

I started working on the horns for my springbok model. I decided to mimic the wear and tear on real horns by creating a multicolored layer under a black gloss top and then slowly scratching away the top layer. A fun experiment.

Taking 3 months to focus on only work and homework was rewarding (got an A+), but also set me back on some art goals. I always feel like I have to relearn how to draw after a break. So I'm back to my daily routine of gestures/doodles in the morning. Feel free to give me tips. :3

In case you've wondered what's taken my soul for the last 10 weeks. I took a Hard Surface class this term and remade Fast Bot from Robo Recall, all in ZBrush. Single-handedly, the hardest class I've ever taken, being my first hard surface piece, but also very rewarding!
