Without emotional connection, software is not profitable

If you don't understand it, don't ship it!

What vibe coders don't know yet is that code is read more than it's written. And for that reason, it's often deleted.
Huge chunks of code mean chaos & unnecessary complexity.
Nothing pains like something failing in production & you can't fix or maintain because you didn't understand what you shipped

Human-led is more sustainable than AI-led

Which one was the most fulfilling for your heart, Megan?

Sticking to one programming language religiously is better said than done.
Having the right mentorship and guidance would have changed everything
Now I'm older, I'm wiser from experience

There's a reason why software engineering is a discipline in itself

The bad news is that these organizations are after hitting the target and not after quality. It's a sure sign of the wrong business approach.
The right business approach only comes in when they make a lot of mistakes and then establish the right structures as a result of learning

The beauty is that mastering fundamentals never go out of style

The best approach is focusing on challenging approaches which are more interesting. AI is great but can sometime kill momentum

Fixing a mess in software is actually more expensive than starting to build from scratch
January 29, 2026 at 8:22 AM
I'm also wondering how maintaining code would be like given that AI spits out huge code when IRL, code should actually be deleted and read more
January 29, 2026 at 8:20 AM
AI is a kind of equalizer, if you think of it in terms of translations
January 29, 2026 at 8:16 AM
That's why AI is a tool to enhance productivity
January 29, 2026 at 8:14 AM
There was a hype that AI would change everything and even enable the rise of solo billion dollar company. I'm yet to see that 😀
January 29, 2026 at 8:10 AM
This is the exact scenario when non-technical founders explain what they are looking for IRL,😊. Software engineers should be wise enough to understand what they are trying to achieve and help them meet their expectations beyond their imaginations - bring their ideas to life

What have you been building, @oleh-dev.bsky.social ?

AI vibe coding is an expensive affair especially if you think of it long-term
