I'm betting Walz is unwilling to deploy the NG because they're more likely being commanded by Trump-allied leadership. That's a serious issue, and I would like it if Walz came out and said it if it was the case.

At this point, Walz needs to start hitting back at his own State Police and the NG leadership if they aren't willing to defend American citizens in the state - start by firing officers and leaders who have made their opposition clear.

If the State Police and NG are not going to protect the people, it will become well and truly necessary for actual Americans to band together and arm up as a result. This is perhaps the scenario Walz is most afraid of, because it gives Trump the justification he wants.

Because if true, it means the State Police and NG will not protect Americans when it counts the most, and it means they cannot be trusted. Walz is desperate to maintain the status quo as a Democrat, but he needs to nut up and tell the people the truth as to why he can't take more direct action.
