Bossen planten of wachten op spontaan herstel?
De Nederlandse en Europese natuur moet herstellen, daarom geldt sinds 2024 de Europese Natuurherstelverordening. Een van de punten van de wet is dat de kwaliteit van bossen moet verbeteren en dat er tussen nu en 2030 in de hele EU drie miljard extra bomen moeten worden geplant. Maar is dat op deze schaal wel nodig? Overal in Europa brult het bos al vanzelf uit de grond!
