Everybody knows this isn't about drugs, but remarkably few will say so, or even question this framing.

Moved by the agent's heart-rending testimony, several jurors were seen picking onions out of their sandwiches, while others dabbed at the mustard on theirs

It's the basis for one of my favorite images of 2025: a giant kitten pawing F-35s off the deck of a carrier in the sea near Yemen. (Based on a real event for which the Navy did not provide any explanation. Shortly thereafter, Trump ended attacks on Yemen.)

That is tough, but unless it's disembodied*, his orangeness should be enough of a cue. *(shades of the Chi brewery that in 2015 reacted to Trump's smears of Mexicans by dropping Trump Tower & renamed the beer they'd made for them Chinga Tu Pelo. It was an ale that echoed his hair color.)

We did letter-by-letter hand printing in a press, too, and it was such a thrill. The teacher was an old Quaker (it was a Quaker h.s.), a complete nerd, who I hope got his equipment into the hands of s/o suitable after he retired, before he died.

Best wishes! I'm halfway through Six Centuries, and it's made me realize the printing class I took in HS in 1967 was miraculously timed to let us see/experience almost all the pre-digital technologies in action, including a newspaper using Linotype and photo typesetting at Reader's Digest.

If the change went through he'd also be able to run for a 3rd term because the first one wasn't technically a full term. Learned this via @taniel.bsky.social and Bolts.

A proposition to move future mayoral/municipal elections to presidential years
to increase turnout. So Mamdani would run for re-election in '28.
