Wonderful walk at Chippenham Park Gardens today. Well worth visiting if you’re in the area. Acres of gardens and woodlands and the Potting Shed cafe does some good free range sausage rolls & cakes (so I’m told 😉)

I really enjoyed the Blitz movie. There's an incredible amount of detail, especially with civil defence uniforms & equipment. I spied stretchers being used which can now be seen as fencing around London. Watching made me go home & look up some of the events portrayed...

Aunty Bettty, Aunty Esther, Nan, Grandad and mum at the front. We think this was taken in 1939/1940 at their cottage on the Hammonds Place estate in Burgess Hill. Nan was Housekeeper and Grandad was Chauffeur ❤️
