Lastly, I've seen criticism of Kanisetti too about his bias to Telugu lands. Not sure if it's true as I've not read his book. But the populist argument of being ignored sells well.

I'm not the first to say this - weird that history ends at 1947. Almost complete erasure of caste issues except one chapter on Ambedkar. Where origin of his name is highly mentioned

Delhi centric has a major part. I also feel it is about documentation. Outside few of British works, recorded history is bad with tons of biases and our books are late to update.
