Cool dad, Chad would like me to know that I'm mentally strong enough to pass the bar exam.

Cool Dad, Chad would like me to know that my thoughts impact the atoms in my body.

I wonder if Cool Dad, Chad is aware of what thoughts his vibes are provoking.

"hashtag, not tonight, Satan"

In short, something I ordered was returned as non-deliverable and the company reached out and said "why non deliverable?"

I replied with "your guess is as good as mine; I've had many successful deliveries from you before."

They said, "hmm, we'll look into it" BUT CONTINUE TO PUT THE ONUS ON ME.

Two things.

1) Some puppy isn't a puppy any more?

2) is it normal for a dog's tail to be as long as its legs?

That felt good.

The time my Corgi/Beagle climed up onto the dining room table and all I could do was call her by her full name and realized that 1) I was now my mother and 2) there was no winning this fight.

And then . . . I went out to check the mail. I do this on a daily basis, and basically front door to the mailbox is the extent of my walking ability without assistance devices at the moment.

. . . I KNOW MY CAR DIDN'T LOOK LIKE THAT YESTERDAY.

Okay, so today is A LOT.

First, it would be my grandfather's 101st birthday. He was a Purple Heart Recipient, the first person to do anesthesia on the first open heart surgery, and . . . most importantly a Victorian Child ghost.

Anyone who's ever watched a single episode of a medical drama knows that V-Fib is double-plus-ungood no matter how much his spokesteam tries to disguise what's pretty much catastrophic heart failure in jargon.

May his memory be a blessing to his daughters . . . (cuz it won't to anyone else, but honestly they seem decent). Also the irony of this happening on election day.

Every other time I've been involuntarily separated from work, I've always gotten severance.

I literally got a paycheck last week for $0.

SUPPOSEDLY I'm going to get back pay, but that ain't addressing the mortgage or my medical bills right now.

So, I'm trying to navigate Maryland Unemployment

Camden has ennui, and Adley judging me for not appropriately addressing Camden's existential crisis.

Meanwhile is not like I'm a displaced federal employee trying to be deal with the ridiculousness that is online join applications or anything...

Today I absolutely fell in love with a primate named Lucy and a Dolphin named Penelope and only contemplated the utter collapse of our democracy a few times...

I crash land back in reality 10/18. Pray for me.
