I cried while editing this new @huffpost.com Personal piece and I've cried every time I've read it since then

It's one of the saddest but most beautiful essays we've ever published and I'm so happy it's out in the world today

But, once again, you've been warned: this one is going to hurt

Whenever I see a stranger eating an ice cream on a random Tuesday afternoon, I wonder if it’s because something wonderful happened or maybe something awful, or maybe there was no reason at all, which is my favorite reason of all, and I take it as a reminder to look for less reasons and more pleasure

The free speech activist who built a list of professors he worked to get fired for their speech must be celebrated for his support of free speech, and anyone who quotes his speech accurately in context will be fired and/or face state punishment by the champions of free speech, do I have that right?

I used to do the same — having that be the last thing in my head before I went to sleep was really healthy for me lol

Yes to all of this — they all have highs and lows, and while they’re each a type, they’re never two dimensional

I’ve seen every episode multiple times and I never tire of it and I feel like I still learn new things with every rewatch

40 years ago today, the Golden Girls debuted, and it remains as smart, hilarious, political, heartbreaking, comforting, human and ahead of its time now as it was then

Also… if you had to pick your favorite (and I know that’s a mostly impossible ask), who would it be?

I’m vehemently pro life

even for the men who have too happily made lucrative careers out of making sure that I and too many people I love live in fear wherever we walk simply because of who we love or how we look or the language we speak

“We take way more psychiatric medication than any other nation on earth,” JD Vance said.

“And I think it's time for us to start asking some very hard questions about the root causes of this violence.”

I asked typography experts and historians of Nazi Germany propaganda what they thought of the font choice and the visuals in a recent ICE recruitment post by DHS.

“We have to look at what the symbolism is telling us, and that symbolism is an authoritarian patriotism."
People Are Noticing The Font Used In This ICE Recruiting Video Looks Disturbingly Familiar
Here's why the font, and the 'military cosplay' in the clip, are worth talking about.

Totally... and while this is def about unhealthy approaches to kink in some ways (because what orthodox religion doesn't have a fucked up relationship with sex?), it's also about the subjugation of women in general and how little this church and these men think of women

It's truly sick

Tia Levings belonged to a church that says women shouldn't get to vote — and Pete Hegseth believes in its same tenets
